The luck of the Irish saying
If you’re Irish then you will know there is a witty line or a quote for every single situation in life. We have two sets of people here in Ireland. We have the optimist and the pessimist. The optimist looks for the good in everything, the pessimist the bad. Off course both are correct especially after a few pints!
Where our wisdom comes from
Every area in Ireland as well as having a specific speech dialect. The same is true for wisdom and wit. We Irish have not heard before often haven’t heard of some of them. I am always looking for new quotes and wisdom from people. I’m always amazed how they roll off the tongue. Have you met any of them on your travels to Ireland? Have a listen and please to the video and let me know which one are you. If you have any gems, please send them to me and I’ll share it crediting you for your contribution.
Here are some the luck of the Irish saying
May good luck be with you Wherever you go, and your blessings out number the shamrocks that grow.
May your days be many and your troubles be few. May all God’s blessings descend upon you. May peace be within you, May your heart be strong, May you find what you’re seeking wherever you roam.
We are lucky to have had amazing poets, witty and wise scholars, and ordinary smart, clever people among us.
They have left a legacy for generations through one-liners, poetry, and philosophy, passing down their wisdom and wit.
Each shared their perspective and life experience, hoping future generations would avoid the suffering they endured.
I have compiled a book. Irish Words of Wisdom Our Elders Used to Say and Other Treasures Found Along the Way.
